A complete online résumé in ten minutes: fill it once, use it on every application
What small-business employers actually read on an applicant card, and the order to fill in your HappyJob profile so you are ready to apply within ten minutes.

Employers at small companies do not open every PDF. They read the applicant card on one page: name, what you are good at, skills, province, a short work history, and, if you agreed, your team fit. A complete profile is worth more than a beautiful résumé file nobody opens.
Ten minutes, five steps
- Your headline (1 minute): one line saying what you can do, such as "front of house and stock, restaurants, 3 years". Let your work style help you write it.
- Skills (2 minutes): five to ten words employers search for, in the words real postings use: Excel, retail sales, Chinese, driving licence.
- Work and education history (4 minutes): add one entry at a time with start and end months; tick "current" for the one you are still in. New graduates can add internships and activities.
- Province you want to work in and the pay you want (1 minute): sharper recommendations, and employers do not waste your time when the numbers are far apart.
- Open to work (1 minute): switch it on. Companies find you by skills and province without seeing your email, phone or birth details until you answer their invitation.
The most valuable extra minute
Enter your birth details in careers by element. That turns on the "fits your element" badge on postings, the "supportive place" badge after you open the map, and "jobs recommended for you" on My account, chosen from the profile you just filled in together with your birth details.
When you apply
The application sends this profile to the employer automatically. You add only a short message to that company and choose whether to send now or at a good time. Afterwards, follow the status in "My applications" and talk to the company through messages on the site.
Turn it into a HappyJob résumé
A finished profile becomes a HappyJob résumé at once. Publish it once and you get a link that updates whenever you edit the profile, an A4 PDF for applying elsewhere, and a card shown when you share it in LINE. The résumé carries a "how to work with me" box: your working style, seats that fit and 3 questions to ask you, in plain words, with no birth date or age. See a sample and how it works.
