How safe are your birth details on HappyJob

Your date and time of birth are personal data you give us to use the destiny tools, so we set clear rules about where they can go.

Rule one: employers never see them

Your birth details and personal readings are visible to you alone. No employer page shows an applicant's or team member's birth date. The database refuses reads across accounts; it isn't just hidden on screen.

Two-tier consent

• Tier one. Everyone accepts our principles at sign-up, and employers additionally commit never to use any result to reject or disadvantage anyone.
• Tier two. When you first apply to a company, you're asked whether that company may see your "team fit". Nothing is pre-selected; you choose, and you can change your mind on My account.

If you allow it, the company sees words such as "fits well" and one strength. No birth date, no score. If you withdraw permission, any reading already made is deleted at once.

How team fit uses the data

When you join a company's team, your birth date, birth-hour window and gender are sent for the reading, without your name or email. Results are kept for at most 30 days and deleted the moment you leave, change your birth details or delete your account.

What you can do yourself, any time

1. Download all your data as one file from My account.
2. Delete your birth details without deleting your account, from the career-by-element tool.
3. Delete your account for good; everything goes, including your résumé file.
